Devotional Thought
“A connection with Christ means everything to us. … We are to be attached to the parent stock, and to receive nourishment from the Vine. Christ is our glorified Head, and the divine love flowing from the heart of God, rests in Christ, and is communicated to those who have been united to him. This divine love entering the soul inspires it with gratitude, frees it from its spiritual feebleness, from pride, vanity, and selfishness, and from all that would deform the Christian character.” Review and Herald, November 17, 1891, par. 9
“When the sinner has repented of his sins, and is united to Christ, as the branch is engrafted on the vine, a deep and earnest love pervades his being which death cannot quench. Prayer for Unity
Lord Jesus, You are the Vine, and we are the branches. Keep us connected to You, drawing life, love, and strength from Your heart. Remove from us pride, selfishness, and anything that would break our unity. Fill us with the love that flows from the Father through You, so that together we may bear much fruit and reflect Your character to the world. Amen.
