"I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing
“The religion of Christ does not require us to lose our identity of character, but merely to adapt ourselves, in some measure, to the feelings and ways of others. Many people may be brought together in a unity of religious faith whose opinions, habits, and tastes in temporal matters are not in harmony; but if they have the love of Christ glowing in their bosoms, and are looking forward to the same heaven as their eternal home, they may have the sweetest and most intelligent communion together, and a unity the most wonderful.” Testimonies, Vol. 4, 65, 66.
“This chapter [John 15] is very simple in its illustrations, and every one should seek to understand its lessons. They should bear in mind that the branches in the true Vine are the believers who are brought into oneness by being connected with the Vine stock. There must be unity in their diversity. Individuality is preserved, for one branch cannot blend into another in the same stock; yet every individual branch must be in fellowship with the other if they are united to the parent stock. ... But this does not make the branches an identity although it constitutes them a unity[…]”

Prayer for Unity
Heavenly Father,
We thank You for creating each of us with unique personalities, gifts, and perspectives. Yet, Lord, You call us to be united in Christ, drawing our life from the same Vine. Teach us to love one another as You have loved us, to adapt with humility, and to seek harmony in our diversity. Let Your love bind us together so that our fellowship reflects the unity of heaven. May our oneness be a testimony to the world that Jesus is Lord and Savior. In His precious name we pray, Amen.
