Bible Verse:
“Ezekiel 1:19-20 (NKJV) “When the living creatures went, the wheels went beside them; and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up. 20 Wherever the spirit wanted to go, they went, because there the spirit went; and the wheels were lifted together with them, for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.”
Devotional:
“God calls for all to act in concert. Union is strength; variance is weakness and sin. There is to be no counter-influence in the church. The whole body is to work harmoniously, as members of one body. Will all who are connected in the solemn pledge-covenant bear in mind that the union of action of every member of the body—each acting the part God has appointed him, each at his post—all acting in concert, the whole working agency, in the accomplishment of sacred duties, for the strengthening and establishment of a church, to exhibit God’s miracle-working power, as a spectacle to the world, to angels, and to men? There is a God-given commandment to exhibit a heavenly government upon earth, making known to all people the virtues of the cross of Christ. The result of this infinite connected with the finite is to demonstrate, through united possession of consecrated fidelity, God’s original design, extending and adding domain, and section after section, through sanctified, constant, united agencies to the approaching universal conquest. God designs this; for “the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High,” and they “shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.” [Daniel 7:27, 18.] Letter 183, 1901, par. 17,18,19.”
Let us unite in Prayer:
O Lord Most High,
We come before You in awe, just as Ezekiel did when he beheld the living creatures and the wheels filled with the Spirit. You are a God of movement, of perfect order, and of divine coordination. When You move, all of heaven moves in harmony. When Your Spirit goes, everything follows in perfect unity and purpose.
Father, we humbly ask that Your Spirit would so indwell us—that like the wheels beside the living creatures, we would move only as You move. Teach us to surrender our wills to Yours. Let Your Spirit be the force that lifts us up and directs every step we take.
Lord, You have called us not to work alone, but in concert. Forgive us for the times we’ve allowed variance, pride, or independence to weaken Your church. Draw us together with cords of divine love. Let every member of Your body find joy and purpose in their God-appointed post. May no one work for self, but all work for the glory of Your name and the advancement of Your kingdom.
Raise up a people who reflect the unity of heaven—a spectacle to angels and to men, revealing the miracle-working power of Christ’s body on earth. Let us demonstrate the virtues of the cross through united, consecrated fidelity, becoming instruments of Your government of love and truth.
We long for the fulfillment of Your promise: that the kingdom under the whole heaven will be given to the saints of the Most High. Prepare us for that day, and until then, help us to take territory for Your kingdom—section after section—through sanctified, Spirit-led collaboration.
Lord, fill us again. Move us as You move. Unite us as one. And may Your Spirit be seen in our every motion.
