Prayer for Unity
Loving Father in heaven,
We thank You for the prayer of Jesus, that His followers may be one, even as You and He are one. Forgive us, Lord, for the times we have allowed strife, criticism, and division to creep into our hearts and into Your church. Teach us to love one another as Christ has loved us, binding us together with the golden chain of Your love.
Lord, help us to act in harmony, each fulfilling the sacred duty You have appointed, that together we may show the world that You are working in us. Remove every spirit of fault-finding, pride, and variance, and replace it with humility, patience, and Christlike forgiveness. May our unity become a living testimony that we are truly Your disciples, and may the heart of our Saviour be filled with rejoicing.
We pray this in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
