Prayer for Unity
Father in Heaven,
You have called us to be one just as You and Your Son are one. Lord, we long for that perfect oneness—a union as close as the union between You and Christ—that will bring success to the work You have given us. Forgive us for times when we have fallen short, for anything less is not the perfection of Christian character. Remove every spirit of division and teach us to work in harmony, for we know that those who refuse to do so greatly dishonor You. Help us to value peace as one of the most sacred works of the Christian life. Bind us together in love, so that our unity will reflect Heaven and convince the world that Jesus was sent to save. We pray in His name, Amen.
