H.O.P.E NOW Day 31: Cultivating Personal Prayer Life
Cultivating Personal Prayer Life
Today, we focus on the foundation of prayer, starting with our personal prayer lives. As we embark on this journey, let us remember that creating a culture of prayer begins with each one of us.
Suggested Reading:
1.Devotional Bible Verse: "Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." - Romans 12:12
Reflection: Take a moment to reflect on the significance of being faithful in prayer, even in the midst of challenges. Consider how consistent prayer deepens our relationship with God and strengthens our faith.
EGW Quote: "In following Christ, looking unto Him who is the Author And Finisher of your faith, you will feel that you are working under His eye, that you are influenced by His presence, and that He knows your motives. At every step you will humbly inquire: Will this please Jesus? Will it glorify God? Morning and evening your earnest prayers should ascend to God for His blessing and guidance. True prayer takes hold upon Omnipotence and gives us the victory. Upon his knees the Christian obtains strength to resist temptation.—(Testimonies for the Church 4:615, 616.)
2. Join the boiler room and follow along with their devotional reading for the day.
Day 31 Heart Challenges:
Share a personal testimony of answered prayer with your church community or on social media.
Reflect on past answered prayers and offer a prayer of thanksgiving for God's faithfulness.
Encourage others to share their testimonies of answered prayers during a virtual gathering or online platform.
Prayerfully reflect and read ahead Matthew 18:20 and Our Father Cares – Page 120 to prepare for Day 32.

Believers from across Thailand and neighboring countries gathered for a prayer retreat last October 12-15, 2023. Participants engaged in fellowship, studied the Word of God, embarked on prayer walks, and participated in breakout sessions where they shared experiences and learned about developing their personal walks with the Lord. Among the attendees were individuals from various nationalities, including Americans, Spanish, Africans, Filipinos, Thais, Burmese, Indonesians, Swiss, and others. The atmosphere resembled an upper room experience, fostering heavenly fellowship.
One attendee shared that his favorite part was the united prayer, noting that the timely talks resonated deeply with everyone present, feeling tailored to individual needs. Such moments were attributed to the work of the Holy Spirit, and gratitude was expressed for the opportunity to be in God's presence. A video capturing the essence of the retreat is available below.
Inspired by this experience, the prayer team in Japan, seeks to replicate a similar gathering. On March 15 to 17, a prayer retreat with the theme "By HisFaith" will take place. The event will be hosted at the SDA Tokyo International Church.
